The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the highlight of the year for petrolheads from around the world, with a mix of the very best supercars, classic cars and all things related gathering at Goodwood for a three day celebration (well, four if you count the Moving Motor Show tomorrow). But if you’ve left it late to grab tickets, you’re out of luck – they’re all long gone. ROGER MOORE'S signature Aston Martin from hit 1970s action adventure show The Persuaders! has been sold at auction for a world record £533,000. The 1970 Bahama Yellow DBS, which Moore's playboy character Lord Brett Sinclair drove on his adventures around Europe, was snapped up at Bonhams annual auction at the Aston Martin Works.

The revised Aston Martin DBS – due to arrive later in 2012 – will take many styling cues from the One-77 and get a new name. Aston Martin are busy working on an updated DBS (which is why we’re about to get the DBS Ultimate Edition) and are aiming for a reveal by the Paris Motor Show in September. But this isn’t going to be just a facelift for the DBS.
